Caribbean Medical Journal applies the Creative Commons Attribution CC-BY License to all works we publish (read the human-readable summary or the full license legal code). This license permits the reuse of articles for commercial purposes, but still requires that the article is fully attributed. Under the CC-BY 4.0 license, authors retain ownership of copyright for their article, but authors allows anyone to read, download, reuse, reprint, modify, distribute, search, and/or copy articles in Caribbean Medical Journal, so long as attribution to the original author(s) and the published article’s title, journal citation, and DOI are maintained. No permission is required from the authors or the publishers. Users are also allowed to link to the full texts of articles, crawl them for indexing, pass them as data to software, or use them for any other lawful purpose. Appropriate attribution can be provided by simply citing the original article. If the item you plan to reuse is not part of a published article, then please indicate the originator of the work, and the volume, issue, and date of the journal in which the item appeared. Authors may post the published version of their article to their personal website, institutional repository, or a repository required by their funding agency.
